How we get FREE ROOMS in LAS VEGAS and Avoid Resort Fees

These are all our tricks for getting free Las Vegas strip hotels and avoiding those dreaded resort fees.

CORRECTION: In the part where we were talking about the Wynn Slots "Best case scenarios" someone pointed out a couple of mistakes that we made. First of all, to get to level 5, it's $750, not $500. And also, you could book a 4th trip before your 180-day period expires for later in the year. For example, if your 180-day period ends in July, right before the end of that period, you could book a stay for September or October.

Las Vegas can be crazy expensive, but it doesn't have to be. These days, we NEVER pay for a hotel on the Las Vegas strip. These are all the ways we get free rooms in Las Vegas and also some ways we get out of paying resort fees.

So far Wynn has been the most generous. We played $100 and won $300, well $200 minus what we put in. That very day they gave us two tickets for one of their shows. Ticket value was about $200. Then they sent us an email with 2 free nights. Loved that hotel!

We have traveled to the cosmopolitan many times. Love the property. A good example of how the comps can work out on a trip: We were offered 4 nights in a fountain view suite (approx 1600.00), 1500.00 in dining, and 1250.00 in free play. At the end of our trip I lost 4200.00. It’s just how it goes.

Stick to MGM properties is always my best advice. They give the best comps and my Vegas is awesome. We used to get as many nights at Excalibur as we wanted just for a small bank roll. Now that we spend more money we are getting the better hotels.

Love your videos. Just took my first trip to Vegas back in Feburary and followed your tips. Saved about $150 in resort fee comps just by asking nicely (hotel I stayed at was under renovations so a lot of the amenities were not offered). Also followed your stick to one chain tip and for about $150 worth of gambling I'm getting almost 2 weeks worth of room comps on my account. My wife and I go to Vegas a lot and gamble quite a bit. However we never seem to get a free room. The mailings we get for free room offers are usually a month after our current trip(can't go right back after just being there). When we do get an offer for a free room, every time we call to actually see if we can use the coupon there are no rooms available for those days any more. Usually the only thing we get for all our gambling is some free play.
