Aquarium Filtration Media - Let's Review Poly 'VOODOO MAGIC' Filters!

I’m not sure what the "VOODOO MAGIC" is in this filtration product, but it pulls gunk out of what previously seemed like a pristine tank. Check it out in this video and tell me if you've used this product and what you think about it in the comments below.

That stuff looks pretty interesting and by the way Ben thanks for getting back to me on my stressed out new Cichlid. You’re always return my questions and I appreciate it for somebody like me just getting into the hobby I need all the help I can get thank you and have a good day.The lighting helped by keeping it out the problem is the space in our house we don’t have a lot and he’s right by a lot of foot traffic I think that stressing them too but a room just became available and I think I’ll put them in there by his self Put something up over the blinds they keep the Some of the light out once again thanks

Morning Ben I posted a question About a new Cichlid I bought and your suggestion was keep the lights off of him which I did I moved him into a room which is pretty dark. And put a 3 1/2 inch piece of PVC in the 10 gallon quarantine tank so we could have a place to hide and that seems to have settled him down. But my biggest concern is it’s been four days since I purchased him and he has not eaten anything I know he was very stressed I’ve never seen one so stressed out as him. How long should I give it before I get really concerned about him not eating should I just give it a couple more days thanks

I've noticed that it greatly reduces the growth of brown and green algae. However, it does not slow the growth of black beard algae.:(

I've used this for 30 years, it's better not to cut it into squares if you put it into a filter as it works better if water has to pass through it, just put mechanical filtration before it .

I don't think this would be good for a planted tank. It would absorb the liquid ferts and tabs used for the plants. But, I'm not sure. What do you think?

I have an issue with phosphates and diatoms at the moment. It looks like it will help with the phosphate levels.

Poly-filter is supreme! I've been using it off and on since my first year in the hobby(2014). My only gripe is the astronomical price for such short term use😣.

🤯🤯, didn't know that they made certain types for tanks (shows how much I know🙄😂), hey boss I use POLY FILL, fir my filtration in my tanks from Walmart, oh and I change the it every 4days and I've been using it for three last 5yr 👍👍👍😎😎.

They really need to change the name of this thing so its not to be confused with polyfilter for mechanical filtration.

Wyzeman has it right. Great stuff. But the price is astronomical and outrageous.

I’ve tried it Way to expensive and gets clogs quick. Just use poly.
