Hawaiian Airlines' Pau Hana Fridays - Sean Na'auao: Fish & Poi

For June's Pau Hana Friday, Sean Na'auao entertained our guests while they enjoyed food from Kozo Sushi and learned about our new XtraMiles partner Rocketmiles. Our guests are treated to music and food every First Friday of the month at our Honolulu Premier Club at the Honolulu International Airport from 4 pm - 5:30 pm.

Always loved this song, but what I REALLY love while watching this video is the musical connection between father and son.  Sean and his son, Kupueu, a "southpaw" plays a very skilled guitar doing things I certainly didn't do at his age.  At 1:40, Kupueu plays the song's signature riff in the wrong key.  Sean smiles and hardly flinches looking forward so as not to bring any attention to his son's error.  Kupueu, visibly amused by his mistake chuckles then continues without missing a beat, too.  A nice example of the father allowing the son to make a mistake, to learn from it (grow from it), and to quickly move on.  I've always enjoyed your music, Sean.  Your son is no doubt on his way to becoming an accomplished musician.  Congrats to the both of you.   #legacies

I just so love the father son interaction. There is so much aloha coming through. Kupu is so sweet and you can see the respect he shows for his father. Everytime I see them I have this big smile on my face. Sweet! So ono! 🌺

I remember going to the North Shore on Oahu and listening to Island 98.5 on the radio. This became one of my favorite songs, and it was never tiresome to hear it.

I feel bad for those hard of hearing or deaf when they watch this video bc the captions are so poorly written and the captions are the things they rely on
