One thing I’ve also noticed is how I sometimes don’t notice my improvement. I sometimes think I haven’t improved on things much, but I try to go back to older drawings I have to improve, it helps me see how far I’ve gone, especially when noticing how different it looks after redrawing.

Great advice, and I've experienced it firsthand.
Sometimes, I like to just sketch a bunch of stuff from my imaginations into one canvas (usually people/favorite characters ps. drawing stuff you like also helps), and it surprisingly allowed me to explore a lot of new ideas like more complex perspectives, hand poses etc. I didn't realize it then, but it turned into my "slightly going out of my comfort zone" game.
Next time you draw, try to fill your entire canvas with doodles and sketches (it doesn't have to be a lot or really small, just technically fill the canvas (no need to color either)), and perhaps it will naturally come to you.

Always compare yourself to the you of 1 year ago, the improvement is much more obvious

But also accept that every artist will plateau, it happened to the greats of the past, it will happen to you too, just have fun and learn along the way
