It's not a must-win. You could have a season where you win the Championship by 25 points and still lose at The Hawthorns. It's one of the toughest fixtures at any time. I think we'll lose tomorrow, even if we do play a bit better. The main thing I would like to see tomorrow is us conceding less than three goals. I want Meslier to make a few saves, I want Rodon to get back to what he can be, I want Ampadu to look like he gives a shit, because he didn't against Boro. After that I want to see activity in the transfer market and I don't want any pound shop players. Rutter is replaceable. He's a joy to watch at times, but not when he's giving it clean away which is often. Joseph could still prove to be an ace in the pack for us. He may ultimately not amount to much, but at this stage he still has the possibility of being top class.

At least some of the promising under 23s may get a chance. They did get to the youth fa cup final, but their league form was hampered by sitting on the 1st team bench and not being used.

Farke’s teams get results when teams come to play football. It’s why we beat Ipswich and Leicester twice each last season and why we went too. However even poor coaches now know how to beat us and thats high press and parking the bus. Farke likes to play along the edge of their box, not getting crosses in or getting shots off. We end up playing sideways and going all the way back to Meslier. It’s shoddy and leaves the defenders exposed.
