SpaceX Starlink Internet | Installation and Initial Speed Test

We have been waiting for nearly a year and our package finally arrived!!! One of the biggest struggles with living out in the country is the lack of internet. Our current internet speed is 3 MBPS. We can't really stream anything and uploading a YouTube video takes hours and hours. In this video we open up our Starlink package and set it up. Check it out to see what speed we got!

Thank you! We just received our RV version, and at 76 years old, we are not quite as Techy as you younger folks. Oh yes... it only took one week from order to receipt. Other than mounting it on the roof, I think we can follow your video for installing ours.

Finally convinced my dad to get us starlink. We’re currently on The waiting list until 2023 it doesn’t give a more specific date. But I am beyond excited!!! I cannot wait to just be able to watch videos in good quality. Maybe even get to play online 🤞🏻

I had Viasat as well, the biggest plan they offered in my area at the time was 150GB, for like$150 a month. Ran out of data like a week or two in every month and our speeds never went over 15mbps download and .75 mbps upload (under half of what they should have been), which they said the poor speeds were because of "bad location" ... it is like well I can't just up and move my house. Just got the notification that my Starlink shipped, I am so excited to have internet at my house again. I gave up the Viasat like 3 years ago because it just wasn't worth it, haven't had home internet since. Now my Niece's school is mad because "They have to have a stable internet connection at home. It is critical to our learning system, it is how they get their homework and send in assignments." I told her "We live in rural Michigan, half these kids don't even have the option to get internet at their house. We used paper when I was in school, it was great, you could take it anywhere, didn't have to charge it or connect it to internet. Also if it is so critical to you doing your job are you gonna pay the bill?" ... Apparently I was being unreasonable... she hasn't called me since. I thought they were fair points.

Boy do I feel you gentlemen. I have Centurylink right now and just ordered Starlink this past Saturday. I can't even get my speeds to register here lately. Thank you very much for this video. I think it will be very helpful.

I'm sitting here waiting for the box to arrive so I've already watched a ton of starlink install videos. Well, maybe not a ton since Im currently using centurylink too and get tired of seeing the "loading" part. (1.5mps down/.4up) Regardless, this is BY FAR my favorite setup video. Especially the comments about the need for a brush. Im not sure what your channel videos are usually about, but I'm totally subscribed now, so maybe I'll watch more of them once my starlink gets here. and please leave the chord hanging off the house.

We live in east central Missouri and have a small farm. Internet is DSL but ISP requires we have a land line too. Bill is $104 month. 16 MBPS down 1 up. Ordered Starlink a month ago. Your video is probably the most realistic and informative I've watched so far. I will be anxiously waiting for your follow-up video. Thanks!

got mine today. good tip on running the wire end going to the dish. mine came plugged in didn't realize it was different than the other end. no internet where I'm at either. been using cell phone hotspot and cellular booster for several years now. barely got by... thanks for video!

I just ordered mine in Tedzidz Yucatan Mexico. About a month ago they dropped the equipment price by 50% to 8300 pesos and month cost also dropped by 50% to 1100 pesos per month. That is about $437 dollars and $58 dollars monthly. Currently I am paying 1800 pesos per month and get a range of below 1 meg up to 7 meg
