FX Makeup Series: How to Apply A Bald Cap

In today's FX Makeup video I'm going to show you guys how to apply a plastic bald cap. I like plastic caps because you can dissolve the edges with acetone and get a flawless transition from skin to cap. The majority of these tips will work for latex caps as well. To blend the edges of a latex cap you can stipple latex along the seam. I do think bald caps are a good skill to add to your makeup arsenal so practice away guys!!! MangerGras I can't reply to you but hopefully you'll read this. The hair in the back is usually camouflaged in the costuming. You can also tuck the hair up into the bald cap, move it around to evenly distribute it and get rid of lumps then glue down the back.
