Blending is very essential to any makeup look and I like how you mentioned that a couple times. The purple color on the outside of the wound really makes it look realistic as if it were really irritated. The adding of the fake blood on the inside makes the wound pop and makes it look as if the wound were fresh. Also the addition of alcohol gives it that liquid effect. Overall I loved this. It was simple, easy, and easy to understand.

This is a great video! My grandson (5 years old) walked in while I was watching an action adventure movie and he saw someone get shot and killed before I could change the channel. He had so many questions and concerns about what he saw, and I was able to get him to understand that what he saw was “magical movie Make-up”. Of course, he wants to try, so I’ll get a starter kit and be a guinea pig! I’m going to hit subscribe so we can watch more of your videos.

Thank you so much for this! I couldn’t stop the scar wax from sticking, and kept messing it up. This really helped! :)

Nice blending.... The blood beaded up quite a bit, however. Try adding a little Clear Dish soap to your blood or even Kodak Photoflo... this breaks the surface tension of the blood. Alternatively, ou can brush a bit of clear dish soap over the area where the blood will be applied.

Nice work!

Just wondering... Is it easy to reuse the scar? Say you're making a movie and you have to take it off at the end of the day, and then put it back on the next... Would I be able to use it over and over if I am careful or do I have to remake it every time? Or is there another way I can make scars?

Very cool and realistic. I'd like to find out how to do it in reverse. I already have the wound from a Mohs surgery, and I am looking for a way to fill the wound and make a latex prosthetic that looks 'normal', without having to go through a lengthy, expensive, painful round of multiple surgeries. Something I can take off and put on as often as it will last, before making another. Can you direct me to a tutorial on repairing an existing wound?? In other words, creating a part that is gone (so no base for a mold) and putting it back before the surgeon's knife took it away. I had a 'cheek flap' surgery to try to rebuild it, but the flap 'died' and had to be removed, leaving the last resort of a nasty 'forehead flap' surgery, that I am going to pass on if I can build a prosthetic that will do the same. Anything you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks.
