My wife used to be in a toxic relationship. I still do this now, but she stopped being obsessive about my phone after freely letting her use mine a few times. It made her realize that her previous relationship was the problem and not the phone. Now we use our own phones without the "NEED to check your phone" all the time. I grew up respecting privacy so i never asked for her phone because I "NEED to check it" which i think is what ultimately made her trust me, I told her once before that no matter what I do, if youre gonna cheat, youre gonna cheat, so if you ever think about doing that, just break up with me because I'd rather break up with you than cheat on you. If I'd ever cheat on you its because its over, i wont be asking for forgiveness, you SHOULD leave me. I expect the same from you. You cheat, dont ask for forgiveness, its a sign youve given up on me.

edit: alright I was waiting until I fully understood where the comments were coming from. Some people watched the video and came to the conclusion that the girlfriend and boyfriend had pre-made plans. I watched the video and assumed he made them on the spot because of the vague time-frame and surprise of the girlfriend. Long story short don't blow people off. Make balance for your friends AND girlfriend. You need a network of people close to you. don't put all your eggs in one basket. Have a nice day!
