China is also quality. Most high end name brand products are also produced in China. The reason Indians feel that Chinese products are not high end is because the Indian importers demanded low price from China. So China produce product according to the price. There are many horror stories in YiWu (the distribution center for many Chinese products) that Indian importers use their family members to crowd a wholesale company stand for a long time, blocking other importers from talking to the wholesaler, until the wholesaler company agrees to the Indian prices.

India is nowhere near China in any field except in software development. Much talked about Indian generic pharmaceutical industry is dependent on bulk drugs (ingredients) supplied from China.
Except for ISRO, DRDO and BARC, where is R&D in India? Running industries with traders' mentality does not work. There is no short cut to success. Only SADHANA can bring SUCCESS.
Shouting and displaying placards "Make America great again" will not help. Whipping up "Ek Bharat Sreshth Bharat" will not help. What is required is less bhashan, more dedicated action. Xi Jing Ping talks very less.

How many patents did Indians file for? India hardly has any research, just producing IT coolies. There are fields where China is far ahead.

China was the biggest source of applications for international patents in the world last year, pushing the United States out of the top spot.
The World Intellectual Property Organization, which oversees a system for countries to share recognition of patents, said 58, 990 applications were filed from China last year, beating out the United States which filed 57, 840.
China's figure was a 200-fold increase in just 20 years, it said.

Why not? Other countries have been dominating the world using patents. Landing on the mars, moon, 5G, etc. have made China a great innovative nation. China has faced many hurdles in this battle and they are appearing to win!

Patents filing is a n important indicator of innovation. Patents system was invented by the west, not by China. China is just following the established rules. Then where is the war?
