G5 is amazing. I would prefer LG over samsung any day because of touchwiz. and also, s7 hasnt got any earth shattering new features and theyve dropped the IR blaster now too. Also samsung is famous for making phones which get sluggish over time.

In short, Practicality> Gimmicky

S7 Edge because it has more practical features- a better display is something we would always benefit from, as well as better design and premium feel rounded edge comfortable to hold, and a camera capable in low light. Those are the features people would use every time they use their phones. LG removable battery is the only practical feature from LG, camera grip is a good concept but not practical at all. Better speaker is useless in the era of headphones/wireless speakers.

LG will take my money this year! I was disappointed with the design at first but when I watched the reviews, I started to appreciate the device more and more everytime. The modules on the G5 are what excite me the most in getting LG's flagship this year.

Samsung addressed a lot of the complaints of the S6...larger battery to help battery life, water resistant design, SD card slot, more flush camera, curved back for comfort in the hand, and then the obvious performance and under the hood improvements (the water cooler pipe inside is cool)...the only thing I would have liked would be type-C USB, but it isn't a deal breaker. Pretty sweet.

I normally upgraded my phone every 6-8 months. A variety of Android, iPhone, and yes blackberry devices. But the Nexus 6p is hands down the best phone I ever owned and still outshines these 2 new phones.
