Talk about a graduation gift! Morehouse College Spring Class of 2019 Commencement Speaker Robert F. Smith will be establishing a grant to pay off the Class of 2019's Student Loans so they'll be graduating debt free! What a time to be a Morehouse Man!

As a part time faculty member, I find this incredibly inspiring. Morehouse is not an inexpensive place to go to school, and there is no "in-state" tuition. Removing a mountain of student loan debt for hundreds of graduates is some of the best use of money I can imagine. And he still gave the school over a million dollars on top of that $40 million for the student debt. What a saint the man is! I hope other mega-wealthy people step up and do likewise, and I hope the graduates take Mr. Smith's advice and pay it forward to future graduating classes. This is big, and I hope the start of a movement.
