If I remember correctly, there was the VW auto showroom and the fire station that were iconic buildings from 1958. There was also the Esso station. These sets and the church are among my most wanted vintage sets.

Edit: I mentioned three different buildings, but the fire station and esso station are the more iconic classic ones.

I've been wait to see this one for a long time! I've always wondered why they haven't done many churches. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for showcasing this little set. I work in a church that dates from the late 1700s so it’s neat to see this Lego set.

Haha that build video is classis! Re-think steps, break, undo, rebuild, build, re think again, break again... Ugh!
But once it's complete, mighty fine feeling.
No discoloured bricks?

212 Small House, came out in 1958, and was the first Lego I ever had (in around 1963, along with 315 European Taxi).

I’m going with 308 Firestation and 310 Esso Filling Station. If my Memory stored on Brickset serves me correctly.

You should have challenged yourself to build it with modern parts for a side by side comparison. Since you figured out how to build it so quickly Lol.

Interesting that Lego once did a Church set considering the no religion rules now. Wonder when they introduced that rule?
