📜 In this video I bring some scenes where the dwarves speak words and phrases from their secret language Khuzdul, from the movies "The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey" and "The Desolation of Smaug".

1 - Therkâ! (Firm)

2 - Pa'îmaha, ut kari ba (Our great leader is not here)

3 - M'imnu Thor! (In Thror's name!)

4 - Du Bekâr! (To Arms!)

5 - Ifridî Bekâr! (Ready weapons!)

6 - Imrid amrad ursul! (Die a Death of flames)

7 - Îsh kakhfê ai'd dur-rugnul!
(I pour excrement on the head of your kin)

8 - Ikhf' id-ursu (Feel the fire!).

I love how natural it sounds when they speak it. And the language itself...rough and gutteral and rocklike. 🥰

Would be cool to see a movie culminating in the war of dwarves and orcs. Follow a messenger gathering up all the seven clans of the dwarves with some sideplots here and there and finally seeing all the armies march on misty mountains...

What about when the dwarves are arguing in bag end around the table? Thorin stands up and says something in Khuzdul. I found these two for the bag end scenes, not sure about the first one though. “Atkât!” - Silence! (Thorin: in Bag End)
“Du Bekâr” - To Arms (Thorin: in Bag End)
