Briggsy- love the father / son fishing trips. It’s a highlight of a man’s life. Am a fan of teaching him to wait and look for big waves. If anything (not trying to have a crack here) I wouldn’t have Sonny wearing the backpack. Maybe I’m overly cautious, but if he gets knocked off his feet on a wave, he might struggle to get up and give him a scare.
Fishing with your boy is a treasure you will look back on.

Edit: saw he took it off and stripped down later, nice. Enjoy these moments, they get big fast.
