This is the result of 3-4 days of work with picking tracks, mixing/mastering and editing & encoding video so I hope you enjoy it! There is undoubtedly some tracks which deserves to be there too but picking 30 tracks is REALLY hard, I kept banging my head to the wall when having to pick between some tracks. This list is based on Fear.FM Top-100 voting / my own preference. I agree there's lot of newcomer stuff that could be included but I'd rather make a separate mix for that.

Getting back after all these years, listening to much of these tracks here and now really makes one realise how fast time goes. Many of these artist still make music and upload allot of new stuff. But it's so different. The feeling and the emotion is missing in many of these newer tracks. Crazy, we had it all it got wasted in such little time. yet that gives us the ability to contemplate on how we need to enjoy the here and now. Good thing is, we have these mixes with clasics to remind us what a joyfull era it was!

That year was kind of a turning point for a lot of eletronic music styles, including hardstyle. Since 2013 a lot of artists started having an international 'pop' audience wich had influence on productions that started to become a lot more popular.
Back in the days people made these tracks only from their passion, not for audience wich made them so unique (and good)

modern hardstyle just cant beat older hardstyle.
older hardstyle just has a certain sound to it that gives me Goosebumps every time.
but, its kind of a good thing in a way that we moved on, it allowed legendary tracks like this to be preserved in time and to be honest, i dont think modern tracks in this style would be the same

Damn this made me fucking cry. I was only 11 when this came out. I lowkey remember when I was introduced to this genre from my older brother. I remember falling in love with this music. Now that I’m 21 it’s giving me pure nostalgia. I miss the old days of when hardstyle sounded like this.
