FrSky Taranis X-Lite How to Setup Modes | Mode 1, Mode 2

The FrSky Taranis X-Lite basically comes with no default Mode out of the box. This is actually great because you don’t have to worry about ordering it one way or another. And it’s very easy to get the sticks setup just the way you want it. In this video I talk about the different modes and set mine up for Mode 2 in the software and adjust the gimbals.

Thanks Mark, Got my X Lite today and it setup differently. Only had one screw in the bag that was the first screw you installed being closes to center. The small screw on the outside edge was already in the radio and it did not do anything when tightening and loosing that screw. The middle screw was the screw that tighten the stick. I like the heat shrink on switch idea. I'm so doing that. Thats also pretty slick how to take away centering of the stick. Much better than taking the radio apart.

Another option for adjusting the throttle centering is to take the back cover off and unclip the spring that creates tension on the throttle centering bar. I did this since my gimbal would slowly move back about 25% from the end points at top and bottom if I used the official method of putting in a long screw in the back. It required using a "T" pin to get it off and then I put a thin piece of double back tape on the spring to keep it from falling off or rattling around. Now it's perfect and the tension adjustment works even better.

Mode 1 is rare here is Australia these days, a lot of people I fly with are mode 2. Even newcomers to the hobby will likely fly mode 2 thanks to all the toy drones being mostly mode 2. So naturally, when they graduate to hobby grade radios they will stick that mode.

Told myself I didn't need this radio, but I think you're changing my mind...

I'm also the one who flies just in mode 2. At least for me looks somehow natural mode. And all drones or controllers which I bought allready had been sets by factory to mode 2. Also most of reviewers and probably most of people flies in mode 2.

So this could be even some minus that is not factory set to mode 2.
