This is my same car, I have owned the 2004 Lexus RX 330 for about eight years. I lived in Washington DC, and drove that car to Connecticut, Manhattan, Cleveland, Miami, multiple times. I am a single woman and I would drive alone all hours of the night and I’ve never had a breakdown or any engine problem. I bought the car used from a single owner with about 44, 000 miles on it. I am at about 145, 000 miles now. The repairs I’ve had to do were basically my own fault. A valet in MIAMI drove the car on a completely flat tire and it bent the axle so I had to get the axle replaced and that cost me about $1900. About two years later I was running the AC with the car stationary on my lunch breaks in 90° temperatures all summer. These comfortable work lunch breaks ended up blowing up my radiator and that cost about $2000 to replace. Because the car spent its previous life in Ohio and then I kept it in snow we conditions in DC the undercarriage was rusted and so when I had to change all the rear brakes calipers rotors pumps and everything that ended up being almost a $2000 brake job. The good thing is the tires are really affordable. Only mention that because I’ve had friends complained that their tires are $200 bucks or more and I’m like what my tires are always like $90 or $110. Didn’t even know that tires could cost as much as $300. I’ve always used regular gasoline never used premium. I’ve never really dealt with the Lexus dealerships I get the oil changed at Jiffy Lube and random oil places and I’ve never had an engine problem The problem with Lexus from the 00s is just the sunroof. YouTube Canik Scotty Kilmer explains in great detail how the drains from the sunroof are over engineered and they can get clogged up and run water into your floorboards. That happened with my previous Lexus car the ES 300 and it happened with my RX 330. Multiple times friends and family tried to clear out the sunroof drains but it turns out the sunroof drains actually are separated in a spot near the floorboard so you actually need a Lexus dealership to do it correctly. That engine is bulletproof, the leather on the driver seat will start to break down way before the actual engine ever will LOL

Be smart take the car with you in Arizona. Never sell it. Remember no car payments. Just take care of the car. God bless.

My parents gave me their 2008 RX350 in 2011. It had all of 5, 000 miles on the odo. Today it has 110, 000. Every part on this vehicle is factory original, except for tires, battery, fluids, filters, wipers, a couple lightbulbs and the steering rack, replaced some years ago. That $600 repair is the only one the vehicle has had since new. Even the brake pads are still the originals. Nothing else has broken. There are no cracks in the dash. Zero rust, anywhere. I can thank my late father for one of the smartest car purchases ever.

I have a 2002 RX300 in silver with black leather & wood steering wheel & dash. It has 205, 000 miles & still going strong. Garage kept in Florida. I love having no car payments. Bought it new in 2002 & paid it off in 2007. Keep the Lexus!

My wife has one of these. She had it since new and still loves it to death. The only thing to be careful are the rubber hoses between the engine and oil cooler. When they go, it can cost you an engine. There is a metal replacement that I highly recommend.

Bought an 04 AWD 330 with 180k 3 months ago. Excellent condition, recent timing belt, new tires, new front brakes, Kenwood head unit with Apple CarPlay, backup cam. My 3rd Lexus. Absolutely love it. Quiet, super comfy, and smooth as silk. $6, 500; not bad for Silicon Valley.

I used to own 08 RX. It was fantastic. It had 120K miles. The reason I traded, was to get something larger. I loved the acceleration, seats, and comfort. I had to replace the hood struts. Check with Lexus, they did a recall campaign and replaced my dashboard for FREE. Looking at this video reminded me so much of my car. Same color. You will get another 100K miles out of it.

I drive a 04 that has about 120k on it. Bought it with 65k. Most practical and comfortable car I've had. Just did the timing belt/waterpump myself and it cost about 250$ and a Sunday morning. Good to go for another 100k

I drove one of these (350) a few years ago and it pulled like a freight train over Parleys summit in Utah (I-80), smooth as silk, nice car.

Great car! From the time I first saw this model, I said, "it's the prettiest suv made" and I think this still holds up. I'm a manual transmission driver, unfortunately this car is only auto trans, but I would overlook that if I could get this car today at a bargain price. It has plenty of features, is quite functional, looks as good today as it did almost 20 years ago, and has the quality of a Toyota. Great car, yes, I want one.

Heads up everyone.
GTA car kits do a bluetooth adapter that plugs in to the back of the CD changer unit and you can rout USB aux and mic under the trim.
It's done in a way that your steering controls work with it too. I highly recommend this if you want to update your sound system!

Had the 2003 with the panoramic roof it opened up like a convertible almost! The rear seat had more leg room then my 2020 X5 and the seats also had more recline and the awd was simple, but worked great in snow. I should have kept it as my winter car. Zero issues made in Japan.
