AP's editor-types are the kind of folks who aren't necessarily ready to kill or be killed for their favorite music (Ed. Note: speak for yourself, Pettigrew), but are still quite an opinionated bunch, nonetheless. This list features records that were heard frequently pouring out of our offices, cubicles and hallways; the songs (and riffs) quoted between meetings, lunch breaks and trips to the water cooler; and most importantly, the stuff that triggered all kinds of emotions before, during and after office hours. It is our sincere hope that your life was significantly impacted by music this year, regardless of whether it was on this list or not. Thanks for listening with us.
