Ugh this is so true. I went to a mega church that was all about production and it's sad when people say " I love my church because of how cool it is and the music sounds epic" vs "I've learned so much about the Lord and grown in deep relationships"

I used to LOVE going to my sisters little old country Baptist church. There was a piano, long wooden pews & hymnals. I always felt like I was floating on air after the service, as I walk back out the door. So simple & Spirit filled.

Im a bassist and i've played in many mega churches in my country Nigeria but I always love Churches where we sing hymns and get to know almost everyone in 2 or 3 sundays. Churches where the pastor visits and fellowships with all his congregants. Where everyone looks out for one another. I always fellowship in my home church whenever I have the chance to.

As a Lutheran, I couldn't agree more. So many churches try to make church about feelings and emotions, however, Gods love has nothing to do with how we feel, but what the Bible tells us. Its about faith in His Word not our own feelings. Church is for recieving Gods sacraments, not a concert for your own enjoyment. I guess you could say, the Church is about facts over feelings lol

I looked for a church in Cali for years and ended up in a mega church for a period of time. My son attended school there, which was so expensive and the price went up constantly. They shamed people who didn't/couldn't tithe and even passed the bucket 3 times during school plays. It was getting ridiculous and because I wasn't in the click, my son was being treated differently. I pulled him, left the church and was churchless for years. I went to Oklahoma on vacation and fell in love with a church there. It was also recorded so I could watch it from Cali when I got home. Unfortunately, the campus pastor was leaving and couldn't tell us why. Turns out, the main pastor was going to be bringing LGBTQIA+ into the children's church and other major parts of the church without informing parents or the congregation. The campus pastor refused to allow it and was fired. I am in another church now, praying that it stays close to the Lord and doesn't stray like so many are. 🙏 The devil is running the world right now, it's in our faces so blatantly. Get close to God, I don't believe we have much time left

I love my little church. About 40 people go there, and Pastor doesnt even need a microphone, because its so small.
We worship and sing and you can hear us a mile away.
That's Church.
