I have a heavily circulated $1.00 star note that is irregularly cut. I just don't trust anyone enough in town to give me an honest answer about it. The coin guy in town tried to trick me once. He told me that my Dollar coin was worth around 50 bucks and then offered me 45. I'm not stupid enough to think any coin collector will offer me 90% of what a coin is worth.
It was worth 1200 bucks.

While I agree that the first one dollar bill shown in your video is not worth $800, it is very interesting in it's own right. That bill was part of a duplicate printing, this one printed at Fort Worth. I have (3) bills from this duplicate printing in my collection and they are fun to find. I've heard that there is a database where you can try to locate the matching Washington DC printed note that matches your serial number. But I cannot seem to find that database. Enjoy your show. Last year I went to the bank and got 50 one dollar bills, she put them in a envelope and handed them to me I went home to look at them. To my surprise they were all star notes in numerical order. What do I do with them and what are they worth. Thanks jim80

I have found one website where owners of error or star notes can identify the worth of these notes. My issue is that I have many error notes printed prior to 1981. Are their sites or a site where I can look up my notes? TY.

Hey, great video! I have a quick question, perhaps you have a quick answer or a video... I have been collecting for most of my life and for whatever strange reason, I've always kept all my star notes AND notes that have unusual serial numbers, such as low numbers (generally 00010000 and below), serials that are dates and repeating numbers. So my question... is it worth saving these notes? For example, I have a $1 note with the serial 00012470. I have another one with 16776771. I also have a bunch of $100 notes that are star notes (and one that is 56789765). If they aren't special, looks like I'm going shopping (maybe I'll buy a note that is of actual value lol) or perhaps I just need to buy a cure for my OCD. Thanks!

now i may be regretting selling off some silver certs of the $1, $2, and $5 variety.. most pre-1950 down to late 1930s..
still have several old $1, $2, $5.. but, sold off.. half ? gave several to sibling/nephew.. will tell them to check as well.
my 1928 Funny Back $1, its pretty decent, not quit Unc.. but.. pretty decently crisp, as are several others that are near Unc or might even grade Unc..

I have a 2017(1$) star note that has an extremely obvious misprint on the front side. That being one side of its frame border is nearly towards the edge of the left side. On the back side is way off centered as you can see the front ink even bleed thru the back, the center of the bill has the bottom half of George's suit bleeding thru... hopefully this one's a winner❤
