I've heard that the OBX is one of the better places for Tropo in the country.

We have 3 Parks here in our county (Suwannee County Florida) they are in White Springs FL but I have yet to hear of anyone activating POTA in them.

Sounds like you guys are concentrating up north in the way too busy and civilized end of the Outer Banks! You'll be missing the best island, Ocracoke! We have a lighthouse here too! Just need to hop on the ferry out of Hatteras Village. You'll also be missing the best cigar lounge on the Outer Banks, my shop! ocracokecigars.com - Here's some local VHF/UHF for you.
