Heavy rain and floods have plagued Gujarat since monsoon arrived on June 27. And the India Meteorological Department forecast more showers in the state. However, the intensity is expected to decrease starting July 1.

Gujarat's districts of Dang, Valsad, Surat, Tapi, and Dadranagar Haveli are likely to experience heavy rain, while Saurashtra and North Gujarat can anticipate light showers. Ahmedabad is also expected to receive heavy rainfall, according to an ANI report.

Following the monsoon's arrival, an orange alert was issued for the south Gujarat districts of Navsari and Valsad.
