This performance gave me chills.. It was just excellent. It a gorgeous song anyway but this , arrangement coupled with the amazing blend and vocals of both G. Poter and Ledisi made me throw things at the tv like J Hud does on The Voice. Must have watched this about about 20 times or more On Demand.

I discovered Gregory Porter when he sang on a jazz cruise I was on in 2015 and this 2018 clip is new to me. He's a major talent and fine human being. I've known about Bernard Ighner, the composer of Everything Must Change, since the late 1970s and only recently became aware that he died in 2017 at the age of 72. I've heard Everything Must Change covered by many singers, young and old, black and white, men and women. This combination of Gregory Porter and Ledisi is one of the best if not the best version other than the composer singing himself. Bernard Ighner lived his own life, significantly in other countries, and recorded only one solo album. Everything Must Change was his magnum opus but every cut on that album (long out of print and not currently available) is memorable. That kind of talent and humanity is rare and a light in the darkness.

This song has given me a heartfelt insight into destiny and the Higher Power that is Our Creator of this Our Universe, reflecting into what's important and especially whose important in this life, in this my journey. This is one of the very best renditions of Everything Must Change I ever heard since its original performance by Mr. Bernard Ighner from the 1974 Quincy Jones album : " Body Heat." Although George Benson & Rachelle Farrell's, Oleta Adams' rendition & that of James Ingram were also awesome. Peace my brother, thank you for sharing.

This song is so real time is off essence nothing stays the same. I miss both of my parents and all the fun memories we shared before they passed and listening to Gregory n Ledsi brought tears to my eyes because I wish I could turn back the hands of times to have my parents again or to redo somethings in my life but time waits time waits for Noone we all will change no matter who we are young or old we all must change just like the seasons but God is still the same now and forever merciful and gracious may God find him now.
