Timur was a ruthless man. He constructed a fort in which prisoners were brutally executed. It consist of a vertical tunnel with sharp steel blades embedded to the walls. The prisoners was used to pass through the blades which would crush their bones and the body parts would be collected by the family members at the other side of the tunnel. This fort is still present near my home in Pakistan.

In 1941, Stalin ordered the exhumation of Timur's remains, ignoring the curse placed in his tomb ("Whomsoever opens my tomb shall unleash an invader more terrible than I."). Speaking of Genghis Khan, there is actually a 1956 movie about him named "The Conqueror", in which the mongol Lord of War is played by no other than John Wayne (no wonder why that movie is considered one of the worst ever made). In fact, that film caused the death by cancer of 46 members of the staff, as it was filmed in zones actively used for nuclear tests
