Timur was a ruthless man. He constructed a fort in which prisoners were brutally executed. It consist of a vertical tunnel with sharp steel blades embedded to the walls. The prisoners was used to pass through the blades which would crush their bones and the body parts would be collected by the family members at the other side of the tunnel. This fort is still present near my home in Pakistan.

In 1941, Stalin ordered the exhumation of Timur's remains, ignoring the curse placed in his tomb ("Whomsoever opens my tomb shall unleash an invader more terrible than I."). Three days later, Operation Barbarossa was commenced. He was later re-buried with full Islamic rites, the day before Soviet victory at the Battle of Stalingrad.

Timur even nearly destroyed the Ottoman Empire when it was just rising up.

Timur took on the Golden Horde, Mamluks and the Delhi Sultanate.

If he did not die he was going to go and have war against the Ming Dynasty. He was a mad lad!!

Iran, Russia, Central Asia, India, Iran, Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Syria, .... he spared literally no one. His battle with the Chinese would have been epic though. Sad he died on his way to China.

Khoton Khan: "I am Genghis' Grandson"
Me: "Dude. Do you even have an idea about how ordinary that actually is?"

All those atrocities and he only died to “illness”. I guess it does pay to be evil. If your death is that basic 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Speaking of Genghis Khan, there is actually a 1956 movie about him named "The Conqueror", in which the mongol Lord of War is played by no other than John Wayne (no wonder why that movie is considered one of the worst ever made). In fact, that film caused the death by cancer of 46 members of the staff, as it was filmed in zones actively used for nuclear tests

Food For Thought: Winners are not judged, nobody ever checks whether they lied or not. If you win, you need not have to explain; if you lose, you should not be there to explain.

Ruy Gonzales De Clavijo, a Spanish nobleman who went to the palace of Timur to Samarkand as ambassador, stated in his book The Life of Timur & Travels from Kadiz to Samarkand, that Timur was descended from a noble generation of Turk immigrants who boasted of their lineage.

Just have to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the creators of this content. After watching so many videos, the thing that stands out to me is the speaker and the way he tells the story in a way, that makes you feel like you are actually there. Always find myself hanging on to every word, absorbing information in like a sponge. Love this channel and all it's content. A plus 👍🏾
