It isn't wrong to say that thousands can claim royal blood and there are many people descending from Charlemagne. However, it doesn't make less fun to find out. Especially if you are interested in genealogy.

Many of us have royalty or noblemen in our backgrounds because they were the people who could afford to live, to have kids, to feed them, to have them grow to adulthood, etc.

I traced my one branch of my own family back to a line of kings in Ireland. They were pretty minor compared to some of those discussed in this video. My kids weren't impressed. Lol

Mathematically, each of us should have 524, 288 20th great grandparents. It would be surprising NOT to find royalty in any living individual's ancestry especially because that ancestry is likely to be documented. The real surprise would be to find the identity of a 20th great grandparent who was an illiterate peasant farmer.
