Playing golf for the first time - 10 minute lesson challenge

In this video my friend Lars is playing golf for the first time in his life. I want to test his natural skill, and then give him a 10 minute lesson to see how much he can improve. Since he has never played golf before I really don't know what to expect, but I was blown away by his performance as a complete beginner.

My mission is to get him playing golf for the first time, and actually hit some great shots. So in this challenge I give him 5 balls with no instructions, then I start my timer, and teach him how to play better golf for 10 minutes. After that I give him another five golf balls and see if he has improved his swing.

I went for the first time a week ago I’ll be taking my 4th trip to the course today. I was always a football player and made fun of golfers. My first time going I thought I’d hate it. Little did I know I’d fall in love with the game and gain so much more respect for the game of golf. I birdied on a par 3 yesterday after a 46 foot putt and it was an amazing feeling.

That's pretty sick he didn't miss a single ball. His natural swing plane is pretty great as well.

Today was my first time playing golf and he done 10x better than me, I was missing the ball constantly and digging into the ground and when I got good connection it would sway to the left or right

Well done to both of you. Some great shots, impressive of the mat. normally i see beginners with more air shots than contact.
My wife has just started to learn, and I've tried to show her basics. She needs to see a pga pro now though. I think there is a skill to know which things to teach and when. You can't learn everything at once, so you have to let some bad things go.

Great video and nice hits! I’m in my early 40’s and never golfed. I was at a driving range once. I’ve always wanted to golf at least once. It seems the few times I was supposed to go something happened. Not sure if I’ll ever get the chance but looks fun.

I have a feeling that guys played before. Either that or I just absolutely suck lol. Just went to my first shooting range yesterday and it was my first time ever swing a club and out of about 90 balls I maybe had like 5 or 6 hits that looked like his first 5 he took.
