Sick review! The XR8 is a welcomed improvement over the XR7. Now with a stiffer and lighter airframe that makes the kite more reactive and even more fun to fly. The XR8 remains an excellent design for all ability levels. From your first upwind rides to cruising under the sunset, to boosting over the moon and hucking big loops. Jump higher, loop harder, and land more tricks with confidence with the XR8.

I got my XR7 9m last year and it blows everything out of the water, ridiculous power and feedback. I want a whole quiver now 😂

Best twin tip kite on the market. Way to go Core 🎉

Such a good kite got a lot of time on it so far and it has noticeably better bar feel with more direct turning and loops. Still holds true to the XR DNA with some great tweaks to make an even better version.

I'm surprised they still have so few panels from LE to trailing edge. Cabrinhas seem way smoother in shape. I ride XR6 and love it. Doesn't look like a huge upgrade, but I guess it's already a very good kite.

I've ridden the XR5 the last 4.5 years (first kite and got from REAL) and have found it's a great kite for me, enjoy jumping, free ride in waist high waves/chop, no kiteloops. I'm planning to upgrade this year. I know the Aluula version is not out yet but from reading out about some other brands with Aluula, it seems those versions have become better for looping. Are there other anticipated perks of XR Aluula or is that kite going to be geared towards those who want to do a lot of looping? I'm thinking the XR8 is a logical next kite for me, just don't want to kick myself when they release the XR Aluula version a few months later if it's going to be a better kite for the style I enjoy.

Gonna skip this untill they bring out the Aluula version. Love XR, but hate that i need an orbit to loop. Hope with Aluula material we get thr best of both worlds, easy jumping and easier loops, atleast easier then it is now

IMO the XR7s biggest weakness was looping, really hope they improved it on the XR8

So the XR8 is your new go-to kite for teaching at your school?

What is better duotone rebel sls or new Core XR8? Opinions?

Let's be real. Duotone makes WAY better kites. WAY WAY BETTER. Core is just mandatory if you're German or plan to act like a d*ck on the water and want people to know you're coming.
