New Orleans Travel Vlog: how to spend a weekend in NOLA!

In this video, I am taking you to the Big Easy aka NOLA aka New Orleans! I went for the weekend with my friends for Mardi Gras season (the best time to go late February/ early March so you can still see the decor and festivities but have more accommodation options available and the weather won't be too hot!). I am showing you what to do and where to eat, and how to do it in style! I am not the biggest fan of drinking/partying/ rowdy crowds but I still had the best time ever in New Orleans and show all the best places. For first time visitors you can't possibly see New Orleans in one trip (or even 10). Pick the things you most want to see, and do that. Also, get out of the Quarter while you are there...As far as not feeling safe, you just need to be aware and know where not to go (like most any city). Around Mardi Gras is probably one of the worst times to visit. There is literally awesome food on every corner and you don't need to spend $160 on brunch if you choose not to. That's a choice, not a requirement.
Am glad you had good luck w/you stay, typically I would avoid all Sonder properties, regardless.

I was in NOLA about the same time, and did many of the same things! I love New Orleans so much, and go as often as I can. Thanks for showing all the wonderful stuff outside of the Quarter. You are a class act. Yes---you should stay in the Garden District next time. I really prefer it to the French Quarter---and felt much safer. If you don't feel comfortable at night, it's fun to explore the Quarter during the day too. Royal is fun for the shops and street music. We walked from the St. Charles streetcar down to Magazine St. just about every night. Great Air B&B's there too (ours was right on Magazine). You would love it!

New orleans felt like mini theme park where no one follows the rules... And cleaning crew happen to party with the guest and dissapearing all day.until the next day at the morning... Equally drugged out and hang over.
