MPCNC Enclosure Box

CNC machines make a tremendous amount of dust and even with a good dust shoe there is often a fine layer that gets on everything in the shop; breathing these fine particles is also not a good idea in the long run. I built a pretty cheap enclosure around my recently finished MPCNC with a dust connection port on the back. While the MPCNC has a pretty beefy center assembly, I didn't want to put any more torque on the Z axis with a vacuum hose. Thanks for taking a look.

Very impressive work. You are truly a very creative person. I am about to take the plunge into building a cnc. However I need to buy the anet a8 first to make the parts. It would be a wonderful thing if you could do a build video. That would be great.

that's really nice, I'm just about to build one but hard to know how high an enclosure will need to be until I've built it.

really cool build I was wandering if it will cut 1/4 inch aluminum or would it need to be engineered to do that an also where can I find the plans for the parts? keep up the good work .

I want to build the mpcnc but i dont have a big enough workplace. So it has to be in my house. Wich makes reducing sound and eleminating dust verry important. Anny tips?

I like the build. I just ordered parts on Friday for the electronics from China, will be a couple weeks before they arrive. I'm also currently printing the parts off of Thingiverse also. How much quieter is your setup with your enclosure would you say? I will be using the Dewalt 660 starting out, so that's the bigger reason for the enclosure for me, if I put one on.

How tall is your z axis? I was planning on at least a 24 x 24 build area, but I wanted to push the z axis to 6 to 8 inches. Rather than the 4 inches most build. Do you think I would see too much flex in the middle, at that height?

nice enclosure.
I'll have to build one because I have no garage which means anything I build will be in the house. lol
I'll have to go with the spindle because its quieter than the DeWalt 660.
my 3d printer is noisy enough. lol

What spindle do you use and are you happy with it? I currently use the Dewalt option.
