Vital signs help us assess patients in the nursing profession, and there are six common vital signs that we assess as nurses:

1. Heart Rate (Pulse)
2. Respiration Rate
3. Temperature
4. Blood Pressure
5. Pain Rating
6. Oxygen Saturation

This video will demonstrate how to check vital signs (live) on a patient, along with normal rates for each assessment. I also give you a few tips for taking vital signs as a nurse, CNA, or other healthcare profession.

She gets me so motivated to start this journey, I do not see myself doing anything else. Got accepted to the nursing program and will start in August. I want to thank you in advance since I will be watching you for the rest of my nursing career. ❤️

These vids are a godsend thank you. With Covid, our program at my university is nearly entirely online with only 2 hours per student on site at the school per week...it’s insane...literally feels like we are having to teach ourselves because I guess we pretty much are

Hello @RegisteredNurseRN! I am currently a fulltime Medical Assistant student this Fall semester. I started the MA program a week ago and I am so happy to learn about everything. Yesterday in my Clinical lab skills class, we learned how to take Vital Signs. Everything went great! I only had a hard time when I had to listen for the Apical Pulse on my classmate. Her heart was very faint and I got the numbers wrong a few times. This is something that I really need to practice on at home because it's not always easy to listen. I just like to say thank you for making this video. I found it very informative and helpful. :) I can't wait to start practicing my clinical skills at home.
