Earthsong by Peter Alsop

I'm always on the hunt for songs on an environmental theme, but I tend to be quite picky. A piece needs to be musically interesting, and it needs to begin from the assumption that children are smart. I love Peter Alsop's metaphor about singing in harmony and living in harmony, and my students love it too. They learn more than one thing by engaging with this song, and that kind of efficiency and depth in material is satisfying from a teacher's perspective.
