Unboxing the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Sky - Platinum Version

The birthday season continues and this time I went for an even crazier timepiece with the Astronomia Sky by Jacob & Co. This tourbillon watch is indeed pretty bold not only in terms of its size and volume, but mechanically speaking there is a lot of things happening in it.

Obviously this is not your most discreet watch, but nevertheless I find it cool that some do dare to produce such eccentric timepieces, yet another example of proper watchmaking creativity and craft.

The movement comprises of no less than 400 components and despite the intense activity going on in it, this watch still bares a power reserve of 60 hours.

I think that This piece should be valued and apreciated more as a work of art, rather than just a watch, as I consider it to be very unconventional and non practical, yet the engineering and art that is present in the machine is phenomenal, no doubt for those who can bear such a piece should be purchased.Thanks for the review and keep sharing more videos please.

I think some people may be missing the point of this watch. Strictly speaking, I wouldn't even consider it a watch. This is a show of engineering prowess and ingenuity from Jacob & Co. It's a work of art and an incredible achievement in the world of watch making. I don't think it's meant to be casually worn, rather, it's meant to be shown on display and admired, which is most likely why it comes with such an extravagant display box.

Anyone comparing their Casio's and Timex's to this masterpiece of engineering are completely missing the point and may as well go elsewhere with their negativity. If I won the lottery I would be putting my order in tomorrow. Incredible creation and thanks for sharing in this video. I might never own one but I can at least understand it.
