THANK YOU for being a Human narrator and not one of those horrible AI Narrator voices that butcher pronunciation, sentence syntax and punctuation

All I know is that the world is a far more mysterious place than we realize and that what we consider myths should not be so easily disregarded.

I am part Miwok, and it's rare to hear the Miwok stories. Especially compared to more well-known tribes. If I remember correctly, we also have stories of freshwater mermaids and other strange creatures. It's been a few decades since I studied the stories.

There are legends amongst other tribes that tell of wars with giants and their half-human offspring having six fingers and toes. It is said the customary greeting of a raised right hand is in response to these wars that saw the eventual destruction of the giants and their hybrid offspring.

The more I hear these stories, the more I look at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk as a historical reference. Makes sense when you learn about Vimanas.

I highly recommend the book of Enoch, it gives credit to this story and explains where the giants come from.

These giants are still around, saw one on top of a rock cliff near Luther Pass CA, standing near a tree watching the cars pass. The Forrest service has put up fresh “No Camping or Camp Fires” signs in the area recently after people who park their cars have been disappearing. There huge boulders larger than cars standing upright on the tops of these rock cliffs.

Giants were indeed a thing but those academic gatekeepers invested in Darwinism will do anything they can to keep that covered up.

David and Goliath. He wasn't the lone giant. He had brothers.

Same with the Yurok and Hupa Karouk Tolowa all say same thing .
In fact a friend of my fathers Ray Charles told of going up the klamath river as a child in a dugout Redwood canoe and a sasquatch was on the river bar.
All his elders told him don't look put your head down, but being a child he looked anyways he told me once they got parallel to it the sasquatch lept from the rock bar straight up on a cut bank over 11 feet high in one jump and walked away.
My father would be 101 years old today and Ray was 20 years older than him!

Following 9/11 we hit hard times and cancelled our cable TV service. Twenty-three years later we don't miss TV and are grateful and happy to have discovered fabulous entertainment like Unworthy History. We thank God for you. All you produce is entertaining, delightful and educational.

British Columbia and NW Canada are filled with history, oral and written, dating from the 1700s of these people and the little people! The diaries of The Hudson Bay Company men from the 1860s read of Sasquatch etc. They are carved on the Totem Poles of the Inuit People. The oral history of the Peruvian mountain people tell of Giants who came there. They give the Giants great credit for their hard work in digging deep wells and bringing water to the mountains - wells that are in use today. They wound up killing those Giants and that oral history can be had on the net.
Thanks for more great history!

The stories have clear tactical significance should an armored adversary present itself. Discouraging cave burial would prevent looting. The first story has clear navigational significance. Stories usually have practical lessons that are conveyed in easy to remember ways.

Those legends of Giants are also in the Northeast. They called them rock Giants as they matted rocks in the hair on thier bodies to protect them from arrows.

The Book Of Jasher and The Book of Jubilee speak of Giants, Naphadin, Napili and Eljo. In The Book Of Enoch it tells how people fed the Giants until they no longer had enough to give them and the Giants then ate the people! I love these ancient time Giant tales and believe they're true!

There is a giant story about Cuyamaca Cold Spring. He was known to capture females and force them to bring him water from the spring he created with his staff saying cold cold spring. One young lady was so despondent that she threw herself into the spring, drowned and is now the spirit of the spring. The spring is still active and the water is good. I volunteered there at the park for about a decade. There is a book that talks about it.
