Columbia protests continue after talks break down over divestment

Columbia University says it will not divest from Israel, and talks have broken down with student protesters to dismantle their pro-Palestinian encampment. CBS New York's Christina Fan has the latest.

You can’t divest from something because business does not work like that. There are a lot of shareholders and Colombia would get sued millions of dollars. The fact that these student are supposed to be the brightest and don’t even understand the basics of being in a business is scary that they are that ignorant.

My Question Is: Just where do all of these Columbia students think they are going to attend college if their demands are not met? I would also ask the same question of all of the other universities where protests are currently on-going. JUST SAYING...

Why is there any discussion about investment policy with students? If you want to change the investment policy, get on the board of trustees and change it. If you're a student, you're there to study and complete a degree. If students don't like the school's investment policy, they can go elsewhere.
