Saba: A Sonnet of Scales

Recently I've been playing a lot of D&D, so I decided to make an animation based on my characters: the Saba family, a group of musical kobolds who live in a 19th century industrial fantasy world. It was fun to explore their lore and personalities!
Each member specializes in a unique elemental ability, and plays a specific instrument. Some fight to overthrow an oppressive regime, while others attempt to live more quiet lives.
Even if things look bleak, there's always something worth fighting for.

It's really interesting how a short 1:30 video can make someone so invested in knowing someone's story. If this was a movie trailer, I'd be hooked off the bat.

I find it interesting that the ending montage shows the evil musician who takes the theremin before disappearing in flame, followed by the four other kobolds each dealing with the four elements in fire form.
- Alto dances in front of a brick house on fire (bricks=earth)
- the archer has caused a fire of some kind with arrows (air)
- the gunman has been hit by gunfire (fire)
- the mail delivery girl's mug is steaming (water)

D&D Fact: Kobolds are omnivorous, but would not refuse to eat intelligent creatures if the opportunity presented itself. They are able to eat just about anything when the situation becomes desperate, even tree bark or bone

One hell of an emotional peice, the best kind of lil lizards, and juuuust enough detail given to each of them to make me desperately wish there was an actual tv series/ animation series following these bold bolds around.

Not gonna lie when I saw this, I thought it might be for a kobold videogame! I'd buy that in a heartbeat! This looks fantastic right now, but I'd love to see more of these guys!
