Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode we wrap up the rest of the work on the backend in order for the user to open up a specified list on the site. First we needed to setup a custom query in the Post repository to fetch posts and reposts by all the members inside of their list. Then we setup the post service logic to call that new repository method. Then we setup some new dto objects, and used them inside of the CustomFeedService where we setup the logic to update a custom feed, fetch a specified custom feed by its id, fetch the next set of posts of a custom feed by its id and page number, and finally the ability to delete a post by its id. To wrap up the episode we created all the new controller endpoints and tested the important endpoints in post man.
