After a career of decent accomplishments, I was worn down by the effort. My health compromised. I stopped doing much of anything. 10 years into it, I learned I was autistic. Still trying to figure out how to keep my house clean.

I relate... Sometimes, I don't have motivation to do much. It might be like depression?

This is where I am right now. I can’t seem to get myself motivated to do the things I’ve always enjoyed. If I start on something, I’ll keep at it for hours, completely unaware of time passing. I enjoy doing whatever I’m doing. But most of the time I find myself unable to start anything. I thought it might have to do with depression, but I started an antidepressant and I felt worse. I’ve tried two other antidepressants and I’m no longer as depressed as I was, but I find that I also just don’t care about doing anything. I can’t tell what is autism-related, what is antidepressant-related, or what is just life being terrible right now…

Omg, this is the first time I am hearing this concept but man does it hit home. I have struggled with this and had it complicated by symptoms of my ADD. I am so glad I found your channel.

I wanted to say there is a Law in the USA that needs to go and it's effecting many Autistic people and others with Disabilities it's called "The At Will Law" and it's in every state but one Wyoming in the USA. It gives businesses the ability to discrimination and get away with it and they don't have to give you a reason why they are getting rid of you. My last 3 jobs were all let goes with no reason at all. Once we get rid of that law we can start sueing businesses.
