Hot water gives the recipe for big hurricanes.

Look at the one in 1970 hurricane Celia. I heard on the radio that the government was going to seed
that hurricane in hopes it will rain itself out. I heard this on one of the Corpus Christi radio stations.
I have talked to two other men over the decades that heard the same thing.
I was going down ocean drive and looking at the bay. This was about 1:00 PM and a few white-caps were visible.
Things changed from there.
The weather forecasters said the wind would get up to about 90 mph. Little did we know they got up to 180 mph about 4:00 PM. I two 40' palm trees break off and blow down the street.
The water tower in Portland blew away. The weather station at Dow Chemical blew away at 185 mph.
The detached garage of the neighbor's house was lifted up and turned upside down in the street.
Looters were everywhere. Trucks backed up to circle K stores and people were hauling all the food they could shovel into the bed of the trucks.
