When I passed out (graduated) we all had family and friends arrive. It was a great feeling. One of our guys didnt have a single person show up. His mum had died when he was young. His dad was a dead beat. He stood there alone as everyone embraced their loved ones. Apparently our platoon commander gives the best hugs.

Sister, I feel your pain. My son is in the AirForce. He made the decision to join in 10th grade and had gone, on his own, to speak with a recruiter before telling me his wishes. It's been such a positive in his life, that his initial decision to leave at 6 years changed after 5 yrs, to a 20 yr career, then joined Special Forces. Next step is office training. He LOVES it!!

Been there, done that, got 3 T-Shirts! There’s a huge heartache when they’re being deployed!! My Canadian son was deployed 3 times! A huge piece of my heart went with him every time! I didn’t sleep very well until he finally came home! He was a grown man with a wife and 3kids. They went through it too. It’s not easy for anyone! We were so blessed to have him home safe and sound.

i worked abroad for almost 4 years, i left my mama with tears. i knew that she will miss me so much because im the youngest son and she loves me so much.😢. i made a sacrifice for the future of my family but suddenly my mama got sick, she have a stage 4 cancer during pandemic. ive rushed to go home to see my mama but i couldnt reach her. she died without me . i cannot fullfill her last wish to see me once again because im late..its too late..mama someday we will see again. i want to hug you
