During the Russian Civil War, the line of the Romanov Royal Family was brought to an end. Just how one of the most powerful dynasties could end in such a manner is a story of doomed foreign policy, a disastrous war and internal strife within Russia that saw the disturbing end of the Romanovs.

Two morals of the story.

1: Always get off your high chair to listen to your people and educate yourself or your chair will eventually be knocked over with you sitting on it.

2: Criticizing your leader who make you suffer is a must, but simply putting him on a cross to burn without perspective is a tragedy.

Alexi's death was the worst of them all. He wouldn't die despite his condition and is famous for his botched execution. I'm surprised that wasn't discussed in the video.

The treatment after their murders was even more brute. The corpse of Alexandra was stripped of her clothing, desecrated and sexually violated by the men before being thrown into the mineshaft. What happened before and after was a brutal act of violence, I read that many Russians still feel remorseful about what happened to the Romanov family.

Before the massacre when the girls were separated from their parents and transported via boat, during the night they had to fight off drunken men trying to take advantage of them off each other. Poor Olga and Tatiana was said to be the ones trying to protect their younger sisters. There are simply too many injustices that occurred before and after the murders to justify this horrific act.

a little fun fact, during the 1945 communist revolution in Vietnam, they decided to keep Bao Dai, the last emperor as adviser also to avoid futher power struggle (and also because the Tsar assassination wasnt a thing to replicate), even though Bao Dai was quite incompetent and hedonistic
later the French established a puppet goverment with Bao Dai as the head of state which later became the South Vietnam, the puppet state of US during the Vietnam War, he was quickly kicked out by the French and Americans because they just needed his name
so yeah, he was the one who helped starting the Indochina War and the Vietnam War
