Your muscetman and your knight could have entered Sicyon in one turn after your bombards took out the defense, maybe even a turn before that. You tend to overlook critical information. That's ok in Cities: Skyline (although it triggers my need for perfection quite a lot), but it lets you lose the game in Civ6. Take your time to look for the details, your episodes would be entertaining nonetheless – they always are.
