So be honest, which one of these are you??

Wholesome Normies may annoy a lot of people, but honestly they're some of my favorite metal fans. For them, this is all fresh and new and exciting--just like it was for all of us when we first got into metal. Their enthusiasm for the music is infectious.

I gotta admit, I'm intrigued by carbohydrate-core. I bet the break-bread-downs are amazing!

We were all wholesome Normies once!

I remember being 14 and thinking Iron Maiden was the heaviest, most awesome stuff around.

Some 20 odd years and many, many gigs later has opened my eyes to never ending breadth of the genre.

Found two new awesome bands last night on recommendations! - Blood Incantation and Green Lung.

There's always more awesome stuff out there, and most Metalheads can't wait to show you a band they dig 👍

I'm French and, YES, I 've got a Baguette player to listen this french band.

Reminds me of an encounter I had in university. "Hey, you're into metal, right? What are you listening to?" - "Wintersun, why?" - "OHHH WINTERSUN, I LOVE THEM! Your favourite song?! Mine is Starchild!!" - "I LOVE STARCHILD! SO

We didn't realize someone was in the room with us :D

Damn, dude. You captured the reasons I've interacted so little with the metal community for 13 years.

Becasue I see myself in every single one of them

LOL I used to the Ashamed Metalhead in college. I was the biggest Metalhead ever until it really hit home that showing people my favorite Death Metal wasn't exactly the best way to make friends. Then I actually stopped listening to it regularly it for a few years or so while claiming I've moved on from that "phase". I'm 31 now and Metal is primarily what I listen to again. Now I cringe at my "ashamed" days more than anything. The only upside is that I actually did discover a ton of new music that I never would've given a chance before college.

🤣
I was sitting at a bus stop the other day, wearing a metal shirt. All of a sudden, a young guy came up to me and asked me exactly the same thing. "What's your favorite band?" "and tell me 3 songs of the band on your t-shirt"

Well, I can admit, I could have been his grandmother, but the boy can't get his mouth shut anymore when I answered.

I've been a metalhead since the 80s and I think I've seen more bands live than he ever knew.

It turned out that we both listen partly to the same bands, and it became a nice discussion about the individual favorite songs.

ALWAYS be the Wholesome Normie. That's the attitude you want towards metal, man.

My favorite way of pissing off the gatekeeper elitist is to say my favorite band is Metallica, and then when they ask for three songs list three deep cuts from Saint Anger. It's hard to say what will make them more angry, when they realize they don't know the songs I mentioned or when they realize they're from Saint Anger lmao

Completely unrelated but I just wanted to say thanks Bradley for inspiring me to pick guitar back up and get into the rocking mood once again. I like Metallica but because I actually know Metallica. I like megadeath too.

Damn yodeling and Mongolian throat singing can be pretty fire though. Same with carbohydrate core

i am the kind of metal fan you wouldn't recognize as one in a million years and i think there's way less of us around than you might initially think. no tattoos, rings, piercings, long(er) hair, specific styles, dark or band related clothing (i've always hated the fit and fabric of band shirts) and so on. if you saw me on the street you'd probably think _oh he looks like one who listens to john mayer and wheatus and shit_ and while i might actually be listening to teenage dirtbag in that moment there could be architects, gojira, in flames or counterparts (my current favorites) up next in the shuffle. i like living this way but you certainly feel left out, especially as i also don't have any metal or hard rock friends. but then, most things happen in my head anyway, or are hidden in there. combination of being introvert and multifaceted, almost finding joy in anything but never fitting in anywhere, really.

I love the Normies! They’re great! It’s always great to see them find out about everything, nothing bad about being new

Love that you chose digital baguette instead of going out and buying one. A truly adept video editing wizard.

Hi, I'm a newbie to this channel. And while our tastes in music don't really cross paths, I think your videos are awesome. The humour is on point. Even the "Do that, do that, do that. Nice one!" Got a laugh out of me! Keep it up dude!

I’m definitely the first one I just get way too excited talking about bands I like lmfao
