Legendary musician Tony Bennett passed away on July 21, 2023, at the age of 96.
“For Tony, music has gotten him through everything in his life, good, bad and otherwise. Music really saved him. One night, he said, “You know, I'm forgetting the names of the musicians on stage. And so I said, “Well, we'll put the names of the musicians on the piano for you so you can just kind of look over.” And it was Tony that said, “Yeah, I'd like to go see the doctor.”
Tony Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2016.
He still could remember and do every song. That was never a problem. I think Tony can still serve as an inspiration to people that if you love what you do, whatever it is that you do, keep doing it.”
