In Germany the word milk is "protected" and can only be used for animal milk. "Milk" from nuts is called [nut] "drink" here in Germany.

Coconut “milk”is a pleasant alternative to dairy if your belly can’t handle dairy. Like milk, it is a bit fatty so it gets cold. Slight coconut flavor. Very pretty bright white like milk.

Every morning I wake up and have one glass of milk and a bottle of water before I shower and have breakfast. Both of those have helped me with portion control. I've lost weight, I feel better not stuffing myself, and I'm not groggy from a heavy meal. Just my experience, not scientifically proven.

I used to buy vanilla flavored soy or oat "milk" to put with cereal because sometimes the cow's milk would upset my stomach. I think it made my cereal taste better too.
