Hello there! I have returned from the dead to bring you this May the Fourth Special! I noticed that the officially released track for the “Cere vs. Vader” fight, ‘The Visitor’ was lacking Vader’s theme bits from the in-game music. So after completing the game, I entered New Journey+, spent 4-5 hours speed running the game to get to the fight and turn off everything but the music, and mix the in-game bits with the official soundtrack to produce the Archival Mix. Even if you beat Vader, he still wins

What I love about the part at 6:15 is that you can hear Cere's theme trying to "break through" but it's completely shut down and overshadowed by Vader's theme everytime. Just like their dynamic in the fight. Cere is an amazing Jedi Master and doing her best (and don't get me wrong she does AMAZINGLY against Vader) but Vader is just relentless and won't stop until you're dead. I think that is beautifully mirrored in that part of the theme.

The way that the choir comes in at 1:26 makes it so powerfully clear that this is Cere's last stand. Every fiber of my being *knew* it was over for her, but still, I found myself fighting like hell to keep her alive as long as I could. The game did a beautiful job making me feel just how desperate the situation was. Beautifully done top to bottom.

How could they have omitted the entirety of the Phase 3 part from the official release?

Watching Vader manipulate Cere's lightsaber with one hand while 6:43 played served as a cruel reminder that despite the power trip you might be having, you are still fighting Darth Vader and your fate is sealed.

7:25 The sad thing is that even if she had managed to stab him in the chest, the guy is like 70% machine and most of his organs are either damaged beyond repair or unecessary due to his suit. As far as physical attacks go, without neutralizing his life-support indirectly, nothing short of bisection or decapitation could end him.

3:44 - 3:49 always gives me chills. Such a subtle melody, but it so effectively conveys the glimmer of hope. Cere stands, for how long she doesn't know, but here, now, she can face off against her nemesis, their duel defines the fate of so many others.

Cere Junda is a BEAST. went toe to toe with the big man himself and almost killed him.

I don't think it's a stretch to say Cere came closer than anyone else besides Obi-Wan and Luke to actually defeating him. A true Jedi Master.

The fact that the best parts of this track weren't on the officially released track is criminal. I loved the music in this fight, and how it uses both Cere's theme and The Imperial March. It's great. The music at 5:01 is so fucking good
