I'm still in shock that I've found a YouTube channel in 2018 that:
A. Doesn't use click bait titles and thumbnails
B. Doesn't use annoying ukulele / xylophone or EDM music throughout the video
C. Organizes the videos perfectly
D. Actually enunciates words so people can understand them clearly
E. Isn't trying to sell me t-shirts or get me to donate to patreon.
F. Doesn't steal other people's content
And most importantly
G. All of the above in one channel

Best subscription I've ever made lol.

The velcro is stronger than the wire..

The thing he never shows is his 20-inch Popeye forearms ;)

That wasn't so quick! It took twice as long as undoing the velcro!

it's amazing that people need constant reminding and demonstration about how insecure their locks really are

Whew, just found this channel recently. It's quite comfy spending the evening looking at you tear down and brutalise all kinds of locks.
Got a basic picking set on the way and am going to try my hand at this. Seems like a useful skill to have. Keep up the great work man.

The velcro gave up more of a fight than the cable did 😂

Have you noticed that LPL expected it would take him 30 seconds and it took him pricisely 30 seconds? I love this guy's perfection :-)

The velcro strap that held the cable together, probably offers similar security. Nice demonstration.

This is why I like this channel. No 7 minute intro for about 1 minute of actual content. Just an explanation for whats about to happen, and then the actual content.

I, like most of my friends, have this as a complement to the shackle lock to keep people from just releasing the front wheel and walking off with it. Wheels lost without it: two in one year. Wheels lost while using it for the last eight years - zero.

Well done. I am so happy you did this one with VERY simple tools. If this does not send the point home, nothing will....

I am no expert.
Not even a "lock enthusiast".
Stumbled on your content randomly.
But even I always knew cables only protect against "toolless" thieves.

Great channel and interesting videos 👍👍👍

I missed the "Okay... nothing on one... so is two... little click out of three..."

Thank you for supporting my reason to sell higher quality locks at the bike I work at.

I live in Finland and own a Jopo (a very popular simple bike, which as new costs about 350-400€) and those are a very common steal here. Usually you can see them around with one lock on the body securing the rear tyre and a wire lock "securing" the bike to a post. Mine has 4 locks: kryptonite U-lock to secure it from frame to a post, a lock on the frame for rear tyre, and 2 wire locks (one for front tyre and one for saddle, so no one steals just those parts). So every time I use it I need to open 3 locks. Better safe than sorry.

Junkies over here in Amsterdam do this with the cheapest wirecutters. They simply pretend to have bummed out next to your bike and start nibbling away at the strands under their coat. It might take an hour or so, but it's simple, quiet and very stealthy. Wire bicycle locks are no good over here, you might just as well give your bike to the next bum passing by. Only a hefty chain with serious lock connecting your bike to something solid will stand a chance.
As allways, great video.

I use cable locks because they are convenient and keep the honest thieves honest. Most are opportunists and the slightest bit of defense will deter the majority. If someone wants to get something bad enough they will find a way. Having said that, What is your recommendation for a cable lock that has the highest security? I use a very thick stranded cable and a war-lok padlock at present.

I U-Lock AND cable my bike properly and thanks to your videos I'm always sweating about whether or not my bike is stolen when I can't see it.

I recommed all of Lock Picking Lawyer's videos.
He is the master of picking locks.
You will want to buy better locks after watching how easy he picks or cuts even the highest priced Master and Brinks locks sold at the Big Box stores.
