5. Collapsible
6. Adjustable Sheath (Left or Right handed)

CONS:
1. Expensive (for Scissors)
2. Heavy
3. Two Handed Operation
4. Cleaning not as convenient as throw away medical shears
5. The handle protrudes rather high when the MOLLE holster is on a workbelt/duty belt and extended.
6. The ruler/ECG meter on the bottom blade of the sheers has a tendency to get rubbed off when using cleaning/decon agents to clean your sheers.

FINAL SUMMARY:

1. This tool is an amazing piece of equipment.
2. If I was an EMT, this would be the shears I would want to EDC
3. Medical Shears on steroids that has mated with a multi-tool, mini bolt cutter and vehicle escape tool.
4. Wow!

You can adjust the holster! You can rotate it! So it does’nt jab into you when you sit down. Just adjust it with the screw that’s on the holster.

These sheers are amazing. I use them frequently as an ER RN, I've yet to find anything that can stop them. They fly through multiple layers, belts, jackets, zippers, shoes, boots, rings you name it. They are a little pricy but they are the right tool for the job, you'll have a patient fully disrobed in the time it would take to cut halfway up a pantleg with the cheap sheers people typically carry in a clinical or first responder setting. I usually clean them with the germicidal wipes available in the hospital setting and if they get really messy, I'll use the wipes and then soak them in 91% isopropyl alcohol. Pull the trigger on these, you won't be disappointed.

"Don't worry, these are just Canadian pennies" made me laugh out loud!

It seems like the only downside is the unavoidable nooks and crannies to clean out. That can be done with a sink or pan of standard antiseptic and a good rinse.

We have several pairs of these on our Emergency Management team and we have NO complaints.

The product quality/cost ratio is not an issue...very much worth the cost...think of just one event where you need to break a car window and the item pays for itself instantly.

As a medical professional who has used these both on and off duty they rock. Cut through pretty much everything. Best shears I've ever owned

Great review. Heading to Amazon now to order one for each of my first aid bags.  I've always hated those disposable scissors which seem like they'd let you down if you really needed them.

Another great review, Cliff. Now I've got something else to start saving my pennies (American and Canadian!) for. I'm not a first responder, but I do carry a tool bag for EDC and have a cheap pair of medical shears in it I would be happy to replace with a Raptor. Always eager to see your videos. Well done.

I carry these at work all the time, both in the ED and prehospital. In the ED since I have purchased mine, several others have purchased a pair, the ED manager had some purchased for the department as well, based solely on how well the ring cutters work compared with the standard rotary ring cutters.

also a big difference between those sheer and regular  ones is that after you cut something hard they don't  become weaker in the middle.  a lot of them they will and they will kind fold back on themselves

Thx for a great review.
I've been wanting the Raptors since I saw reviews by the911medic and theskinnymedic.
They are even more expensive over here in Sweden. About 30-40% more in price. But they sure seem worth it.
Tip; cleaning with steam works great on similar equipment.

This has been my edc for over a year, on shift at least. I work rural ems, but it's in and out of the holster multiple times. it's held up great, needs tightening occasionally. Thought about buying the "big shears", but just bought a 2nd pair of raptors.

Great review, I have been using my Raptor's for about 2 years now, I work for a fire department and 2 EMS agencies in an extremely busy county and have used them numerous times, using everything on the raptors multiple times other then the ring cutter, but even cutting items that were on fire and cleaning them after every use very little fading of the ruler, its more or less just lost its fresh paint "shine" but still very easily noticeable. once again great review as always looking forward to the next.
