Nice pc. Camera and mics and speakers are okay. Display is very good. I watched this review on my 55 in TV and when you showed the display with the top of the coke bottle going across the screen it looked like if the cap came off it would fall on the keyboard that is how good the display looked. Powerful unit. It would definitely run all applications easily. Great quality review

Prices went nuts last 4 years, also on TV´s and mobile phones. 1500 dollar gaming laptop was normal a few years ago.

I have the ROG Stryx that had the mechanical keyboard and it's an absolute joy to type on. I don't know why they stopped offering it.

This is another great video review from Andrew Marc David that's worthy of being shared to Facebook and that I have already done. Regarding the ROG Strix SCAR 16 (2025) it is definitely worth a consideration as it seems to have everything a gamer would need! I love the very bright screen, port selection, the webcam is great and so is the internal mics and the audio quality from the internal speakers is good as well. Outside of the battery life, this laptop is really meant to be used while plugged in and not with the battery. Amazing video Andrew and thank you!! 👍😁

How is cooling performance while using CUDA for long periods of time? For example, training neural network at 100% GPU usage over night? 10+ hours

I bought my MSI GE 75 Raider with RTX 2060 for $1999 CAD back in 2020. I just looked up the latest Raider and it's running here in Canada for $6, 999.99 MSRP with a 5090. I understand the value of these components, but my last used car cost me $6, 0000, lol.

These prices are completely unjustifiable, and I feel like with the tariffs the prices will be pushing 8K here in Canada. That's just a non-starter, Mr. Trump. You can keep your tax.

Unfortunately, this year I feel there's absolutely no need to ugprade since the performance leap is marginal
On my Legion Pro 7 with an RTX 4090 I'm getting 22500 in 3dmark, 39k in Firestrike and 46k in Wildlife Extreme.
Very happy overall with my machine and will wait to see what 2026 brings around the corner

I just got the HP OMEN 16 version of this laptop and it has a oled screen. My last gaming laptop i had was from 10 years ago with a GTX 880M and was twice the thickness, boy have they really slimmed them down now days. I do have a modern desktop too (Ryzen 9 9950X, 4080 super, 64GB Ram) as my main pc and the laptop is used as a coding/3D/gaming machine when I’m not around my main pc.

Plus when I eventually dive into making upscalers mods for games that don’t support it. It will be a good testing ground for non mfg on a 40 series and mfg on the 50 series.
