Fantastic, another new artist and she is terrific! And Canadian too! What a heart wrencher this song is, and the video is spot-on, providing a multiplier effect. I love it when a great video is done to the song's story that magnifies it, such a wonderful thing! Artistic Magnification - I just invented a new term. Thanks Don for the great analysis of the song. I agree with your explanation of the symbolism of the broken coffee cup. If you notice there were three paint brushes in the cup, representing the three family members, then when he leaves he breaks the family. Then when they showed the shot of Jaida cleaning up I took it as reiterating she was left to pick to pick up the pieces of the family. I think maybe the two plastic horses represent the two men who left. Like you said, she is focused on her song writing but still plays gigs around Nashville and occasionally records. I wish she'd get in the studio more. I have a bunch of her demos. Thanks again for allowing me to share Jaida with the channel

I definitely see the comparisons to Ashley McBryde's voices. I can also here a bit of Reba's voice in there, too. Definitely agree with carolinasbeauty - love being introduced to new artists on this channel.
